I am a mixing and mastering engineer with a love of music across the entire spectrum of genres. I specialise in mixing guitar-based genres but enjoy working across all forms of music.
I have a natural mixing style but I always do what’s best for the song and the band rather than force my style onto the music. I always aim to bring out the heart and emotion in a song and make the listener feel.
I’ve previously played guitar and drums in many bands, across genres such as post-rock, math-rock, alternative metal, punk, hardcore and indie rock. When playing local shows, I would often take on responsibility for the sound mixing at the venue.
I also founded and ran the Lost Children Net Label back in the day for 10 years, helping promote and support upcoming post-rock, instrumental and experimental bands.

Endorse Barry RogersBarry did an amazing mix and master of a doom Metal song of ours. Truly incredible work. Before he started the actual mixing process we had a talk about what we thought the key aspects of the song were and where we wanted the focuses to lie. Then we gave him some references and a week later he's realized the vision nearly perfectly. I say "nearly" because after this first mix there was a round of feedback for fine-tuning. And then just like that we had our dream mix and master. I can't recommend Barry highly enough. We'll definitely be back once the album is in it's final stages.
Interview with Barry Rogers
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I played in small bands for about 15 years, and started mixing and mastering our demos and some releases whilst also picking up the live sound mixing duties in smaller venues we would play. Since early 2024, I have focused on my mixing and mastering skills and am now a good mix engineer - a little way to go to get to great but I'm also not charging $10k a mix!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I specialise in guitar-based genres, from acoustic country to epic indie, blues rock to black metal, and everything in between. We also enjoy and are comfortable working with ambient, pop and experimental artists.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I mix and master for the artist. I don't imprint my own style on songs but aim to achieve what the artist was imagining for their song. I use my technical skills to ensure a clean and clear mix and my creative musical background to emphasise the emotion of the song.
