Hey there! My name is D.K. Lyons, a singer, songwriter and producer based in New York. Beginning at a young age, I've written over 1,500 songs in my life, amassing over 150K of my own Spotify streams and writing with artists such as Sophie Rey, Natalie Livingston, Rafa Soto, and EDM producer Tate Kennedi.
I have a "no cliches" rule with my lyrics to ensure every song has the chance to stand out from the clutter and bridge a gap between emotions and creativity. I love working with artists to get to the root of what they want to say and how they want to say it, and then building out the perfect story through intentional and poetic words.
When it comes to crafting the song, it's all about the hook for me. If a song doesn't evoke a desire to sing along, it's not a song worth putting out in my opinion, and I love pushing melodies to be as memorable as possible.
