Ludovico is a sound engineer and music producer with a career built on passion and dedication. Music has been a constant presence in his life since childhood: he started playing drums at the age of six and, during his teenage years, developed a passion for DJing and electronic music, laying the foundation for his career. At 18, he became a producer, and at 25, he co-founded the project Reform with his friend Andrea. Their music quickly caught the attention of top labels like NSDA by Anfisa Letyago, Second State by Pan-Pot, and Etruria Beat by Luca Agnelli, and is regularly played by leading DJs in the electronic music scene.

This dedication to sound led Ludovico to develop a parallel path in mixing and mastering, collaborating with top artists such as Luca Agnelli (Etruria Beat), Scarlett (PLSR Rec), and Alex Bilancini (94 Label), as well as emerging talents like Oguz, CLTX, Azyr, and Arytmia.

With his experience as a musician, DJ, and producer, Ludovico brings a unique approach to mixing and mastering, able to capture the energy and character of each track. His studio has become a go-to destination for those seeking a powerful, dynamic, and perfectly balanced sound, ready to resonate both in clubs and in the headphones of the most discerning listeners.

Interview with Ludovico Bracciali

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: My style is focused on creating powerful, clear, and balanced mixes that maintain energy and emotion, always tailored to suit the track's essence and finished to a professional standard.

  3. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  4. A: I would love to work with Connor Dalton because, in terms of mixing and mastering, his work is consistently top-notch. I've noticed that his tracks always stand out with incredible clarity, depth, and energy, and I admire his attention to detail in every aspect of the production. Collaborating with him would be an amazing opportunity to learn and create something truly exceptional.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: One music production tip I’d share is to always trust your ears over your eyes. While visuals from EQs or spectrum analyzers are helpful, it's the sound that truly matters. Spend time listening to your mix on different systems—headphones, monitors, and even your car—to ensure it translates well across all environments.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: I usually work on genres like techno, hard techno, and psy techno.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: My strongest skill is blending technical expertise with artistic intuition. I excel at understanding the emotional core of a track and translating it into a polished, professional sound that enhances the artist’s vision.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: I bring a deep understanding of the track's emotional core and a technical expertise to enhance it. My goal is to preserve the artist's vision while elevating the sound to its highest potential. Through careful mixing and mastering, I ensure every element of the song is clear, balanced, and impactful, creating a professional, polished sound that resonates both emotionally and sonically. I treat each song as unique, tailoring my approach to suit its specific needs and bring out its best qualities.

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: My process typically begins with a full listen to the track to identify any issues or weaknesses. Once I’ve pinpointed these areas, I start my work. If there are problems, I first focus on resolving them. After identifying and addressing any issues in the track, I move on to refining the sound to achieve a clear, powerful, and enjoyable listening experience. At this stage, I focus on each element individually, applying precise treatments based on the instruments and frequency ranges involved. This tailored approach helps every part of the mix sit perfectly together, enhancing the overall impact of the track.

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I work in a studio with solid acoustic treatment, equipped with PMC Result 6 monitors and a PreSonus Eris E10 subwoofer, which I switch on and off for testing. This setup helps me understand how the low frequencies will translate on larger sound systems. I also use an Audient interface. Over the years, I’ve tested various setups, and this one feels like my best choice—at least for now. I work with professional plugins from Plugin Alliance, iZotope, and FabFilter. After extensive experimentation, I've developed custom chains and workflows with tools that best suit my genre, ensuring high-quality results tailored to my sound.

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: I’m inspired by the work of artists and labels like Amelie Lens’s Exhale, Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT, and Kobosil’s 94 Label. They consistently produce music that sounds both powerful and emotional, delivering a professional sound that resonates just as well on large festival or club sound systems as it does on headphones. Their tracks clearly reflect the expertise of top studios and sound engineers, ensuring high-quality production values that bring out the depth and impact of every beat.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: My approach to mixing and mastering goes beyond just completing the technical work. I strive to build a true connection with the artist, understanding their vision and bringing their track to life. Each song is unique, and my goal is to enhance the emotion and intent behind the music, creating a sound that fully reflects the artist’s essence.
