11 Songs completed - with quality sound and skill. Also, Alex had a willingness to work with us when we didn't know the type of organ sound we wanted on one particular song. Thanks for the work - I think Laurens Hammond would be proud!

Interview with Alex Kamm
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise I’ll meet our deadline and finish the job with a product that 100% satisfies your needs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Thick tone & tasteful playing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is it exactly that's going to make this song shine?
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It’s different with each project, but in the end it’s about producing the best work possible for my clients in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I’m usually hired to provide original Hammond organ or keys tracks for songwriters and artists. Most of my clients will send me a reference track with drums, bass, other instruments and scratch vocals and give me some context on what they expect to receive. I then provide the “glue” that makes the song complete.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I find that keys players (including myself) often need to think more like horn players — taking “breaths” and proper phrasing is so crucial.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Most of my clients fall into the rock, country or blues genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Being able to hear and produce what fits and best serves the song.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog — you can’t replicate the real thing!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Hammond A-100 running into a Leslie 145 speaker with AKG condenser mics.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Cory Henry and Robert Glasper are two of my favorite musicians today. Tremendous respect as well for industry pioneers like Rick Hall and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Hammond organ, Leslie, Wurly, Steinway piano and a vintage Fender Tweed amp.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Classic influences and technique with a modern edge and sound.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Ask plenty of questions!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been playing since I was 6 and professionally for over 20 years.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: It would be amazing to work with more powerful female artists like Billie Eilish or Maren Morris.
