Laurence Fazakerley-Buglass is a music producer and instrumentalist based in Bristol, UK. With a background as a guitarist, bassist and keyboardist in bands Pocket Sun, Laimu and The Jones Project. Laurence's musical journey began with influences from UK Classic Rock, Hip Hop, Grunge and Indie. Over the years, Laurence's inspirations expanded to include pop, jazz and R&B, influenced by producers such as Stint, Terrace Martin and Dan Nigro, incorporating elements of synthesis and sampling into his work.
Laurence holds an undergraduate degree in guitar performance and a master's in composition for film and television from Bristol University, blending technical and theoretical expertise with creative ambition. He is recognised for shaping performances, arrangements, and recordings with a deep understanding of their clients' inspirations, background and work ethic, ensuring a unified vision between artist and producer.
Laurence has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Slowe, Solar Fide, Hunny Buzz, Pocket Sun, and others, bringing compositions to life through a tailored approach to production, arrangement and recording. As an experienced performer, composer and recording artist himself, Laurence understands the needs of artists throughout the creative process, ensuring each project reaches its full potential.
