Mixing is an art. When a song is recorded, you take all the pieces that make it a complete composition and condense them into individual raw materials. The parts are there, but often the whole is not. The purpose of mixing is to control, correct, and re-compose those parts into a whole; a good mix is one that exemplifies the emotion hidden between the tracks.
I've been mixing music for around twelve years. I've found ways to think past the technical aspects of audio processing and focus on how the sounds come together. Your music has a sound, and I intend to help you get it.
I work in-the-box with Studio One, using plugins from Brainworx, Soundtoys, FabFilter, Waves, and Slate Digital. I monitor using KRK near-fields and a small array of headphones, always keeping real-world listening situations in mind, so your music will sound great wherever it goes. I use Melodyne 4 Studio for tuning vocals, so I can correct exactly what I hear is out of tune, not ask the computer to do it for me.

I usually do two recalls; $15/mix, $10/master. You can typically expect one mix within 1-2 days from the start. I'll charge $15 on top of tuning for time alignment.

This spring was big for me. A band I'm part of, Girl Clothes, recorded their EP Basement Full of Ghosts at my studio, which I mixed AND mastered. Around that time, I mixed BIG's The Image, and both released May 1st. I've since mixed an album for Biiirds, mixed a song and produced another for Holden Days, mastered a single for Lofty Stills, and mastered an LP for the Christian Hernandez Rotation.
