I've been building the Freddie Freeloader project since 2024, with experience ranging since 2020.
Voice and DAWs are my primary instrument — not as decoration, but as the
structural core of everything I make. The up and coming debut album 'Mouth of
a Cave' used the 'cave mouth' as a metaphor for the threshold
between ignorance and self-growth: it's a concept record in the
fullest sense, and making it taught me what it means to commit
completely to an idea.
My production process starts with concept. Before I touch a
plugin or write a line, I need to know what the music is *for*.
That's not a creative indulgence, it's the difference between
a track and a record. Once the concept is locked, I work fast
and precisely: Logic Pro is my expertise, i use granular synthesis and sound design
to further inculcate the philosophy and breathe life into the art. Turnaround is 48–72 hours
on most projects.
The music I make lives at the intersection of experimental hip
hop, avant-pop, and electroacoustic sound — textured, dark, and
formally considered. I'm drawn to projects that don't fit neatly
