I was top ten of the third season of the US X Factor. I studied at the Clive Davis Institute at NYU, and have been performing and writing in NYC since I was 13. I am a published songwriter as well, with cuts on songs by artists such as Lil Yachty, Ruth B, Anna Shoemaker. I've written with artists such as Ingrid Michaelson and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Khaya is a producer, songwriter and singer. She was born and raised in New York City and has been involved in the writing and performance circuit since she was 14. After returning from being on a season of The X Factor in 2013, she decided to pursue a career in music, attending the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU for college. Here she honed her skills as a songwriter and producer, and since graduating in 2019 she’s been writing and producing for artists ranging from her close friends to bigger artists not only in NYC and LA but also overseas in London, amassing hundreds of cowrites and songs. She’s done sessions with the likes of Ruth B, Chloe Lilac, Joji, Quinn xcii, Anna Shoemaker, Girlhouse, James St. Vincent Mcmorrow, Sir Chloe, Magdalena Bay, Lil Yachty, and more. In addition to her writing and production, she is the lead singer of electric synth pop trio Moon Kissed, who have put out three full length albums and have done multiple American tours since their formation in 2018. The band is currently working on their third album. She is also a songwriter, instrumentalist, and coproducer of a new group called Telescope Club who will be releasing their first EP in 2023 and going on tour in May. Khaya’s style usually leans towards pop with a left of center twist, but she is open to all genres.
