Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Maharlika UK, is a project helping to uplift the creativity within the Filipino community in London in which I am the Head of Sound within the project that has been running for more than 5 years.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That anyone with a laptop can do it to a high standard
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Timeline, budget and intention for the story of the project
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try to communicate what you want in as much detail as possible, more detail the better. Or as some of my clients now do...they trust me to get on with doing my thing and then they come in with detail after mix 1! For vocals, any references are great and descriptive words such as 'smooth' or 'hard' are great for tone and delivery!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, interface, speakers, mic, keyboard for sure. Everything else I could live without
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have always pursued music and Ive been doing this since I was 15 years old so just over 16 years now!

A: John Legend, would just love to write a song together

A: I could share a million, pay attention to gain staging, just makes everything else so much easier!

A: My mixing. Also the one I enjoy the most

A: I like to bring my own sense of depth, punch and clarity to the song, whilst preserving the soul and intent.

A: Starts with finding out as much as possible about the project. Then making sure I communicate as much as possible throughout the project and make sure the delivery is as top quality as possible.
