Pay for a mix and get a master with it. I am a music producer, mixing/mastering engineer, vocal producer, and sound designer.
I am an Icon Collective graduate with eight years of experience in music production. I specialize in music production, mixing, mastering, vocal production, and sound design.
I thrive working in EDM, pop, dubstep, and cinematic music. Whether you need full production, additional production, sound design, mixing, mastering, or Ableton lessons, I'm here to help. I bring meticulous attention to detail, efficient workflows, and a collaborative approach to every project.
Over the past eight years, I've dedicated myself to refining my craft and staying current with modern production techniques. My goal is to deliver mixes and masters that are clean, impactful, and ready for release. I believe the best results come from clear communication, honest feedback, and making decisions that serve the song first.
Whether you're starting with a simple demo or putting the finishing touches on your next release, I'd love to help bring your vision to life.

Interview with Baily Smith
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I was hired to work on a collection of work that is not out yet. I got to work 10 hours everyday for a week at a writing camp and we made so many amazing songs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on my own project and am helping friends with their music.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not yet, since I'm new here.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both are great, but there is something special about analog, it adds extra depth and some really nice warmth.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to put in 110% effort and get the project sounding the best I possibly can. I am obsessed with details and always striving to do better.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy getting lost in the work flow of creating or dialing in details such as the perfect reverb or seeing how wide I can get a mix while still keeping it mono compatible.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: How involved will I be in the creative process? A: I believe the best results come from collaboration. I work closely with each artist to understand their vision, provide feedback, and make sure the final product represents their style and goals. Q: What do you need from me to get started? A: I typically ask for your project files, reference tracks, a rough demo (if available), and any notes about the direction you're aiming for. The more I understand your vision, the better I can help bring it to life. Q: Can you work with unfinished ideas or demos? A: Absolutely. I enjoy helping develop ideas from the early stages, whether that means additional production, sound design, arrangement, mixing, or polishing a nearly finished track.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: A common misconception is that production, mixing, and mastering are just about making a song louder or adding effects. Technical skills are still important, but the biggest part of the process is about understanding the emotion, intention, and identity behind the music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are you hoping to accomplish with this project? Do you have any reference tracks or artists you'd like me to use as inspiration? What aspects of your current mix or production are you happy with, and what would you like to improve? Do you have a deadline or release date? Are there any creative or technical preferences I should know about before getting started?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose someone that has the sound you are going for and a persons portfolio is more important than a list of gear.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Barefoot Monitors and sub, an Apollo, a custom eurorack synthesizer, a Neumann TLM mic, and an analog synth compatible with MPE.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been producing music for eight years and have consistently worked on music as much as possible.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as dark and lush, with shimmery elements, and an organic feeling.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Tate McRae because I love her voice and every song that she is on has such cohesive glue between the production, her voice, and the mix and master.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Route all of your main groups and sends to a bus for side chain depending on the context. A lot of the time I will exclude the vocal group from this bus and do light side chain instead.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic Dance Music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing/Mastering and Sound Design
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring attention to detail, clean powerful sound, strong low end and warm low mids, fresh sound design and clear/present vocal mixes.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When Creating my own music I usually start from the intro either with drums or piano and build from there. When I get to the mixing and mastering process I do them together at the same time so that i can get the loudest results possible. I like to Start with the kick running as loud as possible into a clipper without hearing audible distortion and then mix around that to keep the low end bumping and continue to mix until everything is sitting where it needs to without unpleasant distortion. Then Finally add additional mastering processing

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Skrillex, Illenium, Tate McRae, Flume, Odesza, Sleeping with sirens, Of Monsters and Men.
