Purple Park on SoundBetter

Hello, my name is Łukasz, I am a Polish-Jamaican artist, The eternal teenager, the rebel and someone who always wants to do his own music in his own way, I produce music completely by myself and I try to be independent, I want to help artists like me and create beats or guest verses for them.

Purple Park real name Łukasz Wołgin, born December 13, 2006 is a Polish-Jamaican rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer. His family comes from the Saint Ann’s Bay region on his father’s side and from his mother’s side from Żagań in Poland. Purple Park was previously known under the pseudonym Mlody Blista where, together with his collective Sosna Records, he achieved success in the Polish underground. Łukasz had a lot of health problems, including at the end of 2022 he was brutally beaten which led to a collapse of Sosna Records. After these events in early 2023, the rapper started his career from scratch under the new pseudonym Uzi Red. On June 2, 2023, together with Lil Komar, he released the album Very Rare Only (Underground forever), which has accumulated over 20,000 streams on Spotify alone. Later he adopted a new pseudonym Purple Park and, along with a music video, released a new single, ‘'Haitian Flags’‘ on August 23, 2024, having previously released several songs on SoundCloud and YouTube under the new pseudonym.

    Interview with Purple Park

    1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

    2. A: I'm proud of most of my projects because I perform, rap, write, do the music and mix all my songs myself

    3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

    4. A: On my solo album.

    5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

    6. A: Digital, because it's easier for me to control it, but I also tried analog

    7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

    8. A: Passion and escape from demons

    9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

    10. A: That I rap offbeat but I actually like to record acapella without hearing the beat because the beat distracts me when I record vocals, this "off-beat style" is something that characterizes me and it still fits with the music

    11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

    12. A: Unlimited marijuana, computer, microphone, headphones and audio interface

    13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

    14. A: Since I was 13 years old since December 2019

    21. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

    22. A: Hip-hop, Indie, Ambient.

    23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

    24. A: The ability to do everything from beat production to vocal recording and writing lyrics to mixing.

    25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

    26. A: I am the song, unless I'm collaborating with someone, then we are the song.

    27. Q: What's your typical work process?

    28. A: It varies depending on the mood and the day, we have a home studio in my grandfather's room, I work when I'm motivated, often locking myself in that room for a good few hours

    29. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

    30. A: It's nothing big, interface, microphone and headphones from Arturia, FL Studio 20, waves plugins, serum etc. typical basics but I can extract something that sounds the way I want
