Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are so many..Gustavo Santoalalla????
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm always some kind of proud if i have product.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Heavy Rock Band and some songs of my own.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Michael Kolar, he's a great session drummer.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: In the recording process both,mostly ITB.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Always challenging,..the mixture of head and gutfeeling/creativity..Supporting Songs with a sound vision,thinking in unconventional ways.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your goal?What do you want to achieve?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Share me your vision/needs and we'll figure it out!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm a full-time musician for about 7 years.. Began to play music with 8 and came from keys, to drums, to bass, to guitar and synth+ vocals.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Spherical, progressive, filmlike..with a sense for strong melodys
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Let it flow,..then go for it and record.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: At the moment i work on a pre-production with a Heavy Rock Band, producing/songwriting/vocalcoaching for an upcoming album.. Some local artists from young bands to hip hop from time to time.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I think i have a strength in transfering emotions through a mix/my playing, intensify the wished message/mood.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: If needed i evolve a lot of ideas while listening to material. Escpecially with bass and sounddesign i'm able to lift a songs quality up.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Find out what the client wants,draw a picture and go!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a little studio base with 50 squaremeters.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have a wide range of music that inspires me.Music is just to complex to be broken down to a few artists.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly I record,produce and mix and play as a session bass player.
