Music Producer with 6 years of experience in EDM and other genres.
My passion for music goes beyond mixing and mastering techniques; my goal is to help those who, like me, face the challenges of turning this dream into reality. I know how difficult it can be at the beginning, especially in a country where resources are often limited. That’s why I offer my services with accessibility and dedication, especially for those just starting out and unable to afford expensive studios or sound engineers. Shall we talk? It would be a great pleasure to positively collaborate on your dream and help your music reach the world.

Interview with João Santos
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I made a remix of the song "Outside" by Calvin Harris, and the production I created was incredible—I did everything myself, and it turned out to be a true masterpiece, one of my best works.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m working on a remix of the song "La Belle de Jour" by Alceu Valença. I’m currently in the phase I call Mixdown (the mixing process before mastering).
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: The best of both worlds.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise I won't promise anything... just kidding! I promise to do my best to understand you and bring your music to life.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It allows my creativity to flow and makes things sound good together while I try to convey my emotions.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Treating music as a product to make money, people often forget that music is the fifth art and not just a business you throw on TikTok to go viral.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How would you describe your musical project? What stage is the project currently in? Could you send me a demo? Do you already have the recordings ready, or are you still in the recording process? How many tracks/instruments does your song have? Do you have a sound reference or mixing style you're aiming for?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone who understands the feelings and emotions you want to convey with your music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Samson SR850 headphones, Neumann U87 microphone, MacBook Pro with Logic Pro, a Telecaster guitar, and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen audio interface.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started in music at the end of 2017, and since then, I’ve been producing intensely and seeking knowledge to improve my skills.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Authentic
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Ludwig van Beethoven; to me, he is the greatest of all time. I’d like to learn from his way of composing, writing, and organizing—it's simply incredible.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It's very important to control the phase of the sounds in the music, as they are the real villains of your mixing. A track with controlled sound phase distinguishes a professional track from an amateur one.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: so many
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing stage
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I love to bring a lot of emotion and feeling into my productions. I aim to maintain the essence of the art and make each track the best work of my life. If a track doesn’t become my favorite or the best it can be, I simply won’t release it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to spend at least 1:30 focused, in a state of flow, and then rest for 30 minutes. I repeat this about 2 or 3 times a day.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Logic Pro
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by the work of Fox Stevenson, whose mixing and production skills are unmatched. He masters the craft like no one else, always delivering a clean and professional sound. I also admire the atmospheric creativity of The Chainsmokers, with their poetic lyrics and irresistible choruses that capture emotions in a unique way. Additionally, I aim to incorporate the "gritty" style and psychedelic elements of Tame Impala in my productions, such as the distinctive distortion of the drums and guitars, creating captivating and immersive soundscapes.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do is mixing and mastering music for independent artists. My focus is to help these artists achieve a professional, polished sound while highlighting their musical identity. I work closely with them to ensure that each track has clarity, balance, and impact, regardless of genre or style.
