Independent LoFi artist with nearly 1M streams, editorial playlist placement & 12+ years of production. Specializing in warm, emotional mastering & mixing, sound design & songwriting for LoFi and melodic electronic music à la Ben Böhmer or Bonobo. Also active as a DJ in that scene. I believe my sound is industry-level – and I’m here to prove it.
Hi, I’m Kumegano – a producer and mastering engineer from Northern Germany with 12+ years of experience in electronic music.
I’ve released LoFi tracks that reached nearly 1M streams and landed on editorial playlists, but my true passion lies in atmospheric electronic sounds: think Ben Böhmer, Paul Kalkbrenner, Bonobo. Deep, emotional, and organic. I also DJ in that space, so I know what makes a track hit both in headphones and on a dancefloor.
Over the years, I’ve mostly mastered and mixed my own music, as well as tracks from other independent artists – especially here and on Reddit. I’ve developed a detailed, musical approach that focuses on enhancing the vibe rather than squashing it. I aim for clarity, depth, and warmth – not just loudness.
I’m not a big studio guy with racks of analog gear, and I don’t pretend to be. But I care deeply about sound and I’m here to help your track reach its full potential. Whether you’re after that dusty LoFi feel, a clean electronic mix, or a warm, dynamic master – I’ve got you.
Let’s work together and bring out the best in your music. I listen closely, deliver on time, and treat every project like it’s my own.

Interview with Nicolas Da
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Classic bedroom studio, but with good speakers. All my gear is in the box.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Bonobo, Ben Böhmer, Chrome Sparks, Cubicolor, Polaroit, Fejka Idealism, Luchii, L.Dre
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ear for detail and balance—I can identify what a track needs quickly and apply just the right amount of processing to bring it to life.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, punch, and balance. My goal is to enhance the emotional energy of the song while ensuring it sounds great across all playback systems.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen to the track multiple times to understand its character, then apply EQ, compression, and limiting as needed. I always prioritize clarity, depth, and loudness without compromising dynamics.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in mastering tracks, helping artists achieve a polished, balanced, and release-ready sound. Most of my work involves stereo mastering for digital platforms.
