Steven Shinn on SoundBetter

22 year old multi instrumentalist born and raised in North Hollywood. Primarily a guitarist, Steven has a certificate of Merit at the Silver Lake conservatory of music in classical guitar that he earned back in 2017 when he 16 years old. Currently he plays in a Paul McCartney and Wings tribute band and writes his own music in his band "Leeway".

My name is Steven Shinn, I've been playing guitar for 12 years. I specialize in electric guitar, particularly influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Eric Johnson. For many years I've been chasing a sound in my head that I feel does the guitar justice for the name it has earned over the last 70 years. I'm extremely detail oriented and many call me a perfectionist. Every note counts. I also teach guitar lessons in the La area and online over Zoom or Skype. I just got back from playing in a Paul McCartney and Wings tribute band over the summer on Mackinac Island Mi replicating complete verbatim of McCartney's guitarist of the 70's era. I'm very good at recreating sounds from all sorts of guitarists and doing solid impressions by applying a different touch or strength level to the guitar. I also mix, produce and write songs. My band Leeway just released our second single and there's many to more to come throughout the rest of the year. On another note I also play bass and piano, Im also a singer as well and have great experience of playing in from of 200+ audiences.
