Hi there! I'm Richard Rourke, I've been playing piano, recording, and performing professionally in New Orleans for 10 years. I am the keyboard player and backup vocalist for Hans Williams, as well as the band leader of my own project under my own name. I started with Hans in 2021 and have amassed over 18 million streams on Spotify with him, been on 4 national tours, played major festivals including Bonnaroo, Hinterland, and Jazz Fest, and collaborated on new ideas together as a band. Through these projects, countless gigs, tours, and recording sessions, I have the experience and the ear to add the polishing touches to your project.

I excel in the areas of retro soul, neo soul, RnB, funk; as well as Indie, folk, and country. After graduating Loyola School of Music here in the city in 2018, I stayed put to hone the skills I had developed in these genres within the extensive network of local talent. Since then I have worked full time with my band, as well as a rhythm section player in other bands to find the perfect part with each instrument to serve the song.

From working with grammy award winners to smaller local acts, I enjoy working with people at any level in their careers. In New Orleans, you have to be an active listener with an easy going attitude to be able to get the job so I am confident that we won't have an issue getting along!
