Hi there, I'm Zack. I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music and a Los Angeles based Producer and Engineer. My latest credits are for 30 Seconds to Mars latest album "AMERICA" and the forthcoming documentary "The Unknown Tour" . Ask me about special low rates for a limited time!

Through my training at Berklee and my time in Los Angeles, I've become proficient at many stages throughout the recording and production process. My skills include live tracking, editing, tuning , mixing , beat making, production, and I've studied mastering under Jonathan Wyner. I am also a trained musician. I auditioned successfully for Berklee with guitar as my principle instrument and studied through various jazz and classical courses although my interest is mainly in pop and electronic. I'd love to work with you to take your project to the next level.

Interview with Zack Djurich

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: We've just wrapped production and editing for a documentary that I'm extremely excited about named "The Unknown Tour". You can find previews on the films' social pages.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: When I can make my collaborators even more excited about their projects. I enjoy taking the production and/or mixing to a place that exceeds expectations.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: Use less reverb. Pay attention to what needs to be in your face and what can chill in the back.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Because of my rock background, I love to bring intensity and aggression to pop and hip hop.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: Listen intently. I listen to the music very close and listen to the artist's vision even closer, then execute.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I work out of my acoustically treated home studio in Los Angeles. I keep things fairly simple gear wise, mostly inside the box. All I need is my great set of monitors and a few 'go to' plugins and I'm on my way.

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: Since graduating Berklee, I have worked as an engineer in multiple studios throughout LA, assisted for Andrew Dawson (Kanye, FUN., Sleigh Bells, list goes on), produced a viral spotify hit (BAER). I have been a musician since age 10 (guitar) and have been engineering/producing for the last 6 years.

  15. Q: How would you describe your style?

  16. A: I make it go bang.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I'm currently employed by a music library where I'm writing, producing, and mixing new songs daily for ads, trailers, etc. Various styles from EDM to Rock to Funk.
