Hi! I'm Maru, a singer-songwriter from Czechia, now based in Dublin. I specialize in delivering authentic vocals and crafting memorable top-lines in genres like pop, indie-pop, and folk, but I'm always excited to explore new styles and sounds.

But I bring a fresh perspective, a love for storytelling, and a deep passion for music that I believe is a huge advantage. Interview with Maru
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began busking in my small town at the age of 15 and went on to tour Italy, Switzerland, and Germany. I started writing my own songs at 14 and gradually transitioned from covering songs to focusing on original work. In 2022, I moved to Dublin to study songwriting. Now, I perform at small festivals and concerts with my original music and I’m working od my first album.

Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I pour a lot of emotion into my songs, aiming to connect with listeners on a deeper level rather than just skimming the surface. I also believe that the distinctive quality of my voice can capture and engage the audience.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I find it crucial to start with a friendly conversation to understand how we both feel about the music and what we envision for the final result. Once we’re on the same page, we can then agree on the specific steps and deadlines.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by artists such as Tom Odell, Phoebe Bridgers, MARO, Ron Panes.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I frequently assist clients in completing their songs when they’re stuck and unsure of the next steps. I also specialize in recording vocals and harmonies, which are among my strongest skills.
