Bringing an electrifying, precise, and powerful guitar sound to elevate your music. Let's collaborate and turn your musical vision into reality!!
Being able to spend all day playing guitar, creating inspiring music, and collaborating with other artists, musicians, or producers is the greatest gift life has given me. I’ve been working as a session musician for 10 years, mastering a wide range of genres from rock, pop, and R&B to funk, urban, worship, and Latin music, on both electric and acoustic guitar.
My recording process is straightforward:I use a selection of amps, guitars, and meticulously crafted sounds that are perfectly suited for each genre. If you have a specific sound in mind, we'll bring it to life together—creativity knows no bounds. Once the recording is done, you'll receive fully edited and mixed stems, ready to shine on any platform.
Pricing: All prices per instrument are detailed on my page (there’s no limit to the number of tracks). My top priority is to hit the mark and help your music grow.

I have had the opportunity to work on different occasions with JohnDa Estrada and I can say that he is one of the most talented people I have worked with, he is agile, communicates and understands ideas well and apart from that he does an impeccable job.
I only know JohnDa recently but I can say that he is a great guitarist, one of the best guitarists I have worked with.
One of the toughest guitarists we have worked with is incredible his way of understanding and doing things

Interview with JohnDa Estrada
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I’ve been part of the entire musical journey with the worship band Madero, recording the guitars and witnessing their evolution from the early stages to becoming a fully established band.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m working with a rock band named Tehillat, producing recordings of new songs for them and handling all the guitar parts
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Doug V, Brillant Pianist and Composer.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: It’s well known that music technology has advanced significantly, making it sometimes hard to tell the difference between analog and digital. Digital environments offer speed and a wide range of options, but there are certain sounds that only analog gear can provide.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I always give my all to every project.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the excitement of always working on fresh, new ideas. It keeps things interesting
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How many revisions can we make? We can make all the revisions you need to get it just right. How long does it take you to record? Typically, it takes about 2 to 3 days to get everything recorded. Would you mind creating a solo even if we decide not to include it in the song, just to have it as an option? Of course! There's always room for a guitar solo, and it’s great to have options. What is your price? It really depends on the specifics of the project. Let’s discuss the details to give you an accurate quote.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: A big misconception is that session musicians just follow instructions without adding their own flair. Actually, a lot of what I do involves understanding your vision and creatively enhancing the track. It’s not just about playing notes; it’s about bringing something extra to make the song shine
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How do you picture your song sounding? What are your expectations from me? Would you prefer electric guitar, acoustic, or a blend of both? Can I bring some creative ideas to the table for your track?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find someone who listens to your vision and is flexible with your ideas. A good session guitarist should collaborate with you to make sure the guitar elevates your song, whether through a simple groove or a more complex arrangement.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, Laptop, MIDI Controller/Interface, Microphone, Pedalboard
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been working as a session musician for 10 years, learning from all the talented musicians and artists I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’d say my playing and recording style is present, with a bit of an edge, but still clean and smooth
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: John Mayer has been able to create a unique sound, adding a rich musicality to pop music.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: In some productions, I like to create a 'wall of sound' with guitars. I’ll use one guitar for the lower strings, another to play the same arrangement on the middle strings with the same notes or occasionally add harmonics, and a third guitar for the higher strings. This layering adds unique textures and makes the sound more dynamic and interesting.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop Rock Worship music Acoustic AfroBeat Reggeaton Latin music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I’m all about believing that there’s always a way to make things even better.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I approach each project with two perspectives: one as a guitarist and the other as a listener. My goal is to enhance the song with a guitar sound that elevates it to the next level, whether it’s a simple arrangement or something more technically intricate. The key is to ensure the song shines on its own, with the guitar adding just the right touch.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I receive a song for the first time, I like to meet with the client to get to know them better—understanding their preferences, influences, and goals for the song. I also explore the final vision they have in mind. Once I gather all this information, I listen to the track three or four times without playing a single note, allowing me to fully absorb and internalize the music. During this time, I consider the sounds that would best complement the song and start setting up. When I have a clear direction, I hit the red button and begin recording.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Interface: UAD Apollo Twin X Monitors: Yamaha Hs7 Pedals: Helix Line6 Guitars: PRS NF3, Parker Fly, G&L Legacy, Ibanez JS 1200
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Guitar Players: John Mayer, Mateus Asato, Joe Satriani, Richie Kotzen, John Norum, Richie Sambora Artists: Chris Stapleton, Bon Jovi, Delirious, Guardian, Snarky Puppy, Joe Bonamassa
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in recording electric and acoustic guitars for various genres, offering unlimited revisions and tracks to ensure that the final product aligns perfectly with the client's vision. My primary goal is to help you hear your song just as you imagined it from the start. Once the recording is complete, some clients also request my mixing services, and I’m happy to help bring their entire project to life.
