Endorse German LandaetaGermán Landaeta is far from an average engineer. In my opinion, he’s a true trendsetter in the industry. I’ve had the pleasure of working with him on numerous projects, and I can confidently say that his involvement takes any production to the next level. Germán has the remarkable ability to capture the essence of a project and elevate it, achieving results that go beyond expectations. Working with him not only guarantees an exceptional final product, but it also transforms the creative vision into an experience where quality and innovation are always at the forefront.
German Landaeta is the best kept secret of Venezuelan musicians. It is not only the human library, with the most important technical knowledge of the industry, but its quality as a musician and producer, with an unparalleled artistic sensitivity.
Thanks to Germán I have been able to raise the sound of my work, to unimaginable places, both live and in the studio, The sound that identifies me as a percussionist specialized in flamenco cajon for the last 20 years is due to the criteria and meticulous mixing work of German.
Germán Landaeta’s exceptional contribution as the mixing and mastering engineer for Charangoza All Star’s debut album is nothing short of remarkable. His mastery of sound engineering has elevated the musical essence of this project, delivering a polished and vibrant sonic experience that truly captures the band’s energy and passion for salsa.
Landaeta’s mixing skill is evident from the first track, where every instrument is meticulously balanced. The brass sections punch through with clarity, while the percussion groove.
I once Asked German, “how do you know when the mix is ready or finished?” He replied, “When I cry”. And of all the lessons I’ve learned from him while working with him consistently over the years, This one I’ll never forget. He has been able to take years of study and experience, And meticulous attention to detail and channel it all in a way that transcends the technical. He is not only a master at his craft, but a true artist as well. You don’t learn passion in a book, It’s a gift from God. And artists like German have learned to harness and use it to take art to new limits.

I have worked with Maestro Germán Landaeta for almost ten years and I can say that he is an exceptional audio engineer. His work has been extremely professional, always respecting delivery times and demonstrating admirable responsibility. Germán works hard to achieve the desired sound and has a supernatural gift for perceiving what is really needed to obtain an optimal audio result. 100% recommended.
German Landaeta. In my opinion, he is a perfect balance of both a fantastic sound engineer and a great musician.
His approach to mixing and mastering is always based on “musical criteria”, good taste, innovation, exploration, respect and he is always in the search to give each project its own character, and that makes a huge difference.
Again, German Landaeta is not your conventional or your “average good” sound engineer … he is much more than that. He is a “team-player” and a fundamental part of any musical project.Germán Landaeta is one of the best sound engineers I have had the opportunity to meet. He has a great musical ear and exceptional skills in mixing and mastering. Germán doesn’t just mix; he immerses himself in the sound to also produce.
The times I worked with him, he always strived for excellence and perfection.
It has been nearly 40 years of friendship, sharing, and listening to his creations. He is truly one of the best.
To have German as both the mixing and mastering engineer for my very first EP as a solo artist has been nothing short of amazing and an absolute God send. His mixing and mastering abilities are on another level, and he is so knowledgable about his craft. He's so easy to work with and always so attentive to any changes needed, with the sole purpose of making sure that your goals and vision for your project in terms of mixing and mastering are met. You will not be disappointed one bit when working with German!
German is a top tier engineer! I have worked on many records with him and he is now an invaluable piece on anything I produce and/or mix. His musicality and taste are one of a kind and he is extremely reliable and easy to work with. Trust me, not only will you not be disappointed but you will be surprised. Look no further, this is the real deal!
If you want someone to treat your song like it’s a piece of art I cannot recommend German enough. German is not just an amazing engineer. Because of his musical background, he has a composer and producer mindset when approaching a track, bringing out the magic within it.
We’ve worked in several projects for more than a decade and he’s one of the kindest people I know.
Easy and fun to work with. Abrazo y Bendiciones!
I have worked on various projects as a music producer alongside German as the mixing and mastering engineer and I can say that the final product has been very satisfactory. Examples of these are the singles by trumpeter Morris Northcutt: "Here's that Rainy Day"; "Rhapsody Melancholy"; "The Christmas Waltz"; and, of course, the albums: "Tonada" and "Moliendo Café". There is nothing to say but listen to the final finish that German has achieved in them: a different, enveloping and professional sound.
German has always been involved with all my projects either as a master or mix engineer. One of the many things I love about working with him is that he breaks with the traditional and established. Artists like me prefer working with German because he is not only a technically impeccable engineer, but because he contributes to your production in a way that goes beyond the technical matter; he actually adds value to the work itself artistically, and not everyone can achieve that. I feel really proud and honored to work with such an amazing sound engineer and even better human being.
I've had the privilege of working closely with German on several projects I've produced and co-produced and I can confidently say that he has always delivered beyond my expectations. Over the years I've seen German take our music and give us the exact identity we're looking for, always with his own unique touch of fresh ideas. He has helped our band gain worldwide recognition by carefully detailing every piece of our live and studio recordings, from large brass & string sections to massive choirs. His mastery is backed by years of knowledge and experience that is quite frankly, invaluable!
Working with German Landaeta has been a transformative experience. His attention to detail and deep understanding of the artistic process are unmatched. I've worked with him on two albums and many other projects, and his mixing and mastering always elevate the music beyond my expectations.
German knows my sound intimately, and as a trumpet artist, I trust him with the most personal aspects of my music—my vulnerabilities and creative voice. He handles it with care and respect, ensuring my artistic vision is fully realized. Any project he touches will shine.
