I once Asked German, “how do you know when the mix is ready or finished?” He replied, “When I cry”. And of all the lessons I’ve learned from him while working with him consistently over the years, This one I’ll never forget. He has been able to take years of study and experience, And meticulous attention to detail and channel it all in a way that transcends the technical. He is not only a master at his craft, but a true artist as well. You don’t learn passion in a book, It’s a gift from God. And artists like German have learned to harness and use it to take art to new limits.

I have worked on various projects as a music producer alongside German as the mixing and mastering engineer and I can say that the final product has been very satisfactory. Examples of these are the singles by trumpeter Morris Northcutt: "Here's that Rainy Day"; "Rhapsody Melancholy"; "The Christmas Waltz"; and, of course, the albums: "Tonada" and "Moliendo Café". There is nothing to say but listen to the final finish that German has achieved in them: a different, enveloping and professional sound.

German has always been involved with all my projects either as a master or mix engineer. One of the many things I love about working with him is that he breaks with the traditional and established. Artists like me prefer working with German because he is not only a technically impeccable engineer, but because he contributes to your production in a way that goes beyond the technical matter; he actually adds value to the work itself artistically, and not everyone can achieve that. Recomiendo a German Landaeta, es un absoluto lujo trabajar con él por que es un músico más, y tiene un criterio y buen gusto como pocos ingenieros en el mundo, yo vengo de la música clásica y el jazz, luego emigré al pop y los sonidos del mundo, y ha sido muy placentero hacer este viaje junto a Germán a través de mis años de carrera, es increíble el entendimiento que el tiene de los diferentes géneros musicales, siempre acertado y con esa elegancia única que caracteriza la sonoridad que está en su cabeza y que luego generosamente transmite a nuestros música y la engrandece.

As a lead singer I can say that I wouldn’t trust any other sound engineer to mix and master my voice other than German. His work inspires me to put out the very best of my gift because I know that when he receives it in his studio he will make it ten times better than what it was originally.
