Greatly enjoy writing songs & poems as well as extending and remixing songs; looking to share this talent with others.
Hey there, my name is Trae/EtheTrael (pronounced ethereal). I’m 21 and love writing my own songs and music as well as extending songs. I am heavily inspired by Prince, the mixings of Shep Pettibone, house music, and old school funk and r&b. If you’re looking for lyrics about any and everything, or an extended remix to your song: I’m your man!

Interview with EtheTrael
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy the freedom, simple as that. Whatever comes to mind I make it happen. The gift of creation is unmatched and I am grateful for it.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been into writing for as long as I can remember. When I was 16, I decided to extend one of my favorite Prince songs (17 Days) because it always ended so quickly for me. With this I realized that I had a skill for extending and remixing songs on top of writing song lyrics. As for releases of my own (with credit to the original songwriters), I have uploaded several extended mixes and mega-mixes to my YouTube channel.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A friend of mine was writing a Prince story and wanted Prince's If I Was Your Girlfriend in the form of piano. He couldn't find one online and asked me to do it a month before release. I immediately agreed and released it at the same time as his story. You could find the piece on my YouTube channel: EtheTrael.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on my next EP which will be released this fall. It will be a house and dance release. I'm also working on several other songs and trying to fit them onto future releases.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening to a song and being able to recreate the notes on piano (working on this with bass as well).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Prince, Shep Pettibone, and Michael Jackson.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: If I had the right amount of money, I would go with analog (you just can't beat the sound of it). Digital is great for convenience as well as for learning and mastering your skill.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will meet your request(s) to the best of my ability; and, if you are not initially satisfied, I will do a revision free-of-charge.
