Energetic Singer/Songwriter that will help you create your next big hit.
My name is Josii and I am a Spotify artist, songwriter, session rhythm guitarist and session vocalist. I have worked in the music industry for 3 years and am a qualified Music Educator. I specialise in songwriting and creating Pop, Indie, and Rock music. I also specialise in both Wedding/celebration and Funeral/mourning styled songs. I would love to bring your vision to life, and help turn your idea into a beautiful piece of Music.
I have a Bachelor of Contemporary Music Practices and Master of Secondary Teaching (Music), so I am able to help out with any Music Theory and potential ideas to extend your songs.
I also create music videos and songwriting tutorials on YouTube. @Josii
For Songwriting:
- I will take your melody & any reference/concept ideas you may have and I will collaborate with you to deliver a fully written song.
- If you have parts already written, I will help you with some ideas to progress the song in ways you didn't know.
For Session Vocals/Guitar:
- If you would like vocals recorded to compliment your piece, get in touch with me about your project and I will see if I am available to help.
- If you would like Acoustic Guitar recorded for your projects, I am also happy to record it professionally for your projects.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the meaning of your song? What kind of genre would you say it is close to?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: It doesn't hurt to contact and see if they match what you are looking for. Give me a message and if you aren't feeling it, no pressure!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would take my Acoustic Guitar and a Tuner. As long as I am alive I would be writing songs and singing my little heart out.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path has been teaching music at a High School, and am looking to work towards my dream of creating and collaborating with Musicians on the Gold Coast.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Energetic, enthusiastic, funny, and caring. I think I'm funny, but probably am not (my mum thinks I am, so).
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with my favourite band Six60 from New Zealand. They have inspired me for many years.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you are struggling with ideas, put it aside and the right idea will naturally find it's way to you.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I am currently in an Indie Rock band called "Busy This Weekend", and we love to write music about the beach, being in love, and trying to make it.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is empathy and being open to trying different things. If you don't like an idea, that's all good! We are all here to help create art and I will do everything I can to help bring your idea to life.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring myself and everything I have learnt, and use my passion to help create a beautiful piece of art.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do is helping turn small ideas in to full songs, with structure, melody, harmony, and resolution if necessary. I also like turning famous pop/rock songs in to wedding versions for people.
