With years of experience in music production and sound design, along with working in a multitude of different genres/styles, I understand how tedious and difficult it is to write and produce songs. A song can be a portal into a world of your design, cultivating it can be a challenge.

Interview with Taihei

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: Dark Cyberpunk/Anime OST with a blend of Electronic/Dance musical characteristics.

  3. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  4. A: Granular attention to detail.

  5. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  6. A: Overcommunicate. It's good to provide a lot of details and info about the project you would like for me to take up. It allows me to get a clear idea of what you're aiming for, what you'd want to achieve, and how you would want your listeners to feel or experience. Providing me a lot of details and information about your project, will allow myself to have a clear idea of what you're looking for and what you're expecting - reducing the likelihood of delays and blockers in your project.

  7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  8. A: Hans Zimmer, Evan Call, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Kuniyuki Takahashi, Husman, Juche, LONOWN, Armin van Buuren, Depeche Mode, and Linkin Park.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Never stop learning new things, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem now. It's become very important to learn multiple different styles - as many people are finding new music every day. Initially, my main focus was Trance and Big Room. Naturally as time went on, I gravitated towards other styles in such as Trap, Wave, Hardwave, Rock, Top-40 Pop, Future Garage, Orchestral/OST, and Ambient. Whether you have the time or only have a few minutes/hours in the day to listen to different styles, you get to learn a lot more about not only the style itself, but also tips and tricks that could work in other productions. In this case, you're hitting four birds with one stone; you get to learn different styles, different production workflows, different techniques, along with developing your own sound.
