My most recent recording credit is with Luke Combs (Fathers & Sons). I’ve performed with Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Wynonna, Dwight Yoakam, Lyle Lovett, Jason Isbell, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlisle, Clint Black, and many others. I bring creativity, soulfulness, musicality, versatility, and a wide range of past experiences to the table.

My name is Joshua Hunt. I make music with drums, cymbals and percussion. I’ve been a professional musician since 1996, and I’ve lived in Nashville, TN since 2010. I have a masters degree in classical percussion performance from the University of Illinois (2006). I specialize in soulful music across genres. Im equally at home playing country, folk, bluegrass, americana, r&b, soul, funk, pop, singer songwriter, classical, modern jazz, early jazz, Latin, world, alternative, rock, gospel, and contemporary christian music.

I would love to be creative with your songs. I have 15 drum sets that span eras and manufacturers: Craviotto, Gretsch, various vintage Ludwigs, vintage Slingerland, and WFL drums. I have an enormous array of cymbals and percussion instruments, as well as found objects.

In my home studio I have the capability of recording up to 16 drum tracks, and countless overdubs. I have a good selection of microphones: ribbons, large diaphragm condensers, small diaphragm condensers, etc… I also have a large selection of Universal Audio plugins to get a wide range of sounds in my space.

I’ve been recording since 1998 and have over 300 recording credits under my name as a sideman/session musician.
