Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a powerful, loud, yet dynamic sound by carefully analyzing what the song needs. For me, mixing a song is a fast process, but it always turns out great.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I have a 'ready-to-go' mixing template with everything routed and set up for a new song, which speeds up the process significantly. I make sure each multitrack is properly placed where it needs to be and do a 'listen-through' of the rough mix before adding anything. If samples are needed, I'll add them to enhance the sound. After the 'listen-through,' I start adding effects, often beginning with the drums.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My biggest inspiration is Chris Lord-Alge and his approach to mixing. I fell in love with his sound, and he completely changed how I approach new mixes.
