Mezzo Soprano vocalist and melody writer, with a clean, soft, yet strong tone. 8 yrs+ of recording experience (incl. artists such as Ben Cantelon, The London funeral singers and as well as my own material). 10 yrs+ years of performance experience (incl. Gospel Touch Choir, Matt Redman and Samm Henshaw).

ABOUT ME:

Hello there, I am Roni Smith!
I am a UK based vocalist, specializing in both Lead vocals and BGVs.
In addition, I’m a melody writer and a junior music composer.
My voice fits into both soul and pop genres.
This is influenced by my experience singing both gospel and contemporary styled worship music in churches i.e. songs by Hillsong (soft rock, atmospheric), as well as CeCe Winans and the Clark Sisters (Home-cooked soul).

I have a good ear for selecting tones, notes, and other vocal dynamics, to blend together to create a sweet musical sound.
In terms of BGVs – I love creating these, to add dimensions to songs! The right arrangement can be the icing on the cake that a song needs to bring it alive!

My home studio vocal recording equipment includes a Marantz Pro MPM-1000 condensator mic,
Audio Geeks TM pop filter and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd generation) interface.
Recording software: Ableton Live Lite 10.

I sing in many assorted styles including Pop, R&B, classical, cinematic and gospel.
