Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I love working under pressure, and I love finding unique solutions to unique problems.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I try to work as I go, getting most of the basic editing done as I'm tracking, so by the time vocals are finished, I can focus on mixing and not have to go through and edit an entire song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have 16 inputs through my Liquid Saffire 56 and Octopre Dynamic into Pro Tools. I also sometimes use a Motu 8pre, a Soundcraft Spiritfolio mixer, or various custom mic pres that come through the studio. I send my main mix via spdif to my Central Station, and monitor through my Adam A7s and a pair of Event 20/20s.

A: Steve Albini, Jerry Finn, Chris Lord-Algae to name a few.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I provide an alternative for making demos, EPs, and small records by providing tracking, mixing and mastering services as needed for those that are on a small budget.

Last month we saw the release of Death Is the Only Relief by Maladjusted, which was tracked, mixed, and mastered at Rising Phoenix. We also worked with Scared x Straight for their upcoming split with xUPPERCUTx; This month we've just tracked a handful of songs for the deubt EP of xFor Every Actionx. We will also begin recording with Maladjusted AGAIN for another intense release due by the end of July, just in time for their tour! Stay tuned for what else is coming out of our speakers!
