Remote Session Drums/Producer

Coming to prominence in Los Angeles, CA with successful urban reggae outfit 4th & Orange, Sam Ward has since gone on to record and tour with notable artists such as Gym Class Heroes, Ally Brooke, Tyga, Good Terms, Not Pop etc. He is available for remote prod/record/mix/master work via his complete and professionally outfitted home recording studio.

Sam Ward is a versatile drummer who began his professional career in high school. Early on, he released a studio album with the funk/fusion band Naughty Octopus and the vintage funk band The New Review before both bands disbanded. In 2017, he moved to Los Angeles and joined the punk band 42 King, releasing a four-song EP. He later became the drummer for the reggae/rock band 4th & Orange, based in Long Beach, CA.

After signing with Atlantic Records and Latium Entertainment in 2019, 4th & Orange released the single “Girl Next Door,” amassing millions of streams and views. The band toured intermittently and released a full-length album before the pandemic halted their activities, leading to their eventual disbandment.

Resettled in Las Vegas, Sam accepted his first resident gig with MJ Live at the Sahara Theater in 2022 and continues as a swing/sub for the show. He teaches drums, percussion, and audio engineering privately and through schools in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He also engages in freelance session work from his home studio and is active as a drum/music content creator on social media. Connect with him via @WardenOnDrums.
