Mor Kessel

Melodic House Track Finishing

Mor Kessel on SoundBetter

I help producers, DJs and artists finish deep, melodic, organic and progressive house tracks that are stuck at 70-90%: arrangement, groove, sound design and a mix-ready result. Also production, co-production and release-ready consultations. Producer (Fleanger), label owner (Tiefe Resonanz Records) and former label A&R.

Your track works as a loop but not yet as a record: the arrangement loses energy, the drop doesn't land, or it doesn't sound release-ready. I fix what's holding it back and send it back mix-ready, still sounding like you.

WHO I HELP
- Producers with an unfinished deep, melodic, organic or progressive house track
- DJs moving into original production
- Artists and vocalists who need electronic production around a song

WHAT I DO
- Track finishing: arrangement, groove, sound design, production decisions
- Production and co-production from an early idea
- Arrangement, incl. DJ-friendly intros and outros
- Release-ready consultation: pre-listen, 60-min call, 5-10 written action points, incl. label fit

WHAT YOU GET
A fixed price and clear scope before work starts, a mix-ready track, two revision rounds, final WAV plus stems or alternates where agreed.

WHY TRUST ME
I release as Fleanger on labels including Balkan Connection, House of Horus, M-Sol Records and Cafe De Anatolia, run the label Tiefe Resonanz Records, and was label manager and A&R at Joy Group (2017-2021). I hear your track the way a label does.

NOT A FIT
Mixing or mastering only, or genres outside electronic, house and downtempo.

TO START
Send a private link, your DAW, 1-3 references and your deadline. I reply with what I'd change, scope and price. Main DAW: Cubase.

Interview with Mor Kessel

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I started as a producer and DJ in Tel Aviv. From 2017 to 2021 I was label manager and A&R at Joy Group, a Tel Aviv label and collective. Today I release as Fleanger on labels including Balkan Connection, House of Horus, M-Sol Records and Cafe De Anatolia, run my own label Tiefe Resonanz Records, and teach production; in 2026 I gave guest sessions at BPM College in Tel Aviv.

  3. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  4. A: My official remix of Himalayan Moonheart by Golan Zocher & Dana Cohen. I was the remixer: concept, production and arrangement of the remix. It's a good example of how I take an existing song into a deep, melodic electronic direction.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: New Fleanger singles, including a release with Kaiotto on Fluentia Records, my monthly mix series Interior Moods, and weekly releases on my label Tiefe Resonanz Records.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: Honest feedback before you pay, a fixed price for a clear scope, and a finished track that still sounds like you.

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: Do I need to send stems or the project? Usually stems or a bounce plus the project info is enough to start; I'll tell you exactly what I need after the first listen. Will it still sound like me? Yes, I work on your idea and keep its identity; I strengthen it, I don't replace it.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: What's the track's goal (release, label pitch, DJ tool, sync)? What do you love about it and what bothers you? Which references are you aiming for? What's your deadline? Do you need a mix-ready file or just direction?

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: Listen to samples in your genre, not just the biggest names on the profile. Ask how revisions work and what exactly you get at the end (WAV, stems, project files). And send a reference track: it saves everyone time.

  15. Q: How would you describe your style?

  16. A: Atmospheric, emotional and restrained. Warm low end, space, slow-building tension and melodies that carry the track, rather than big generic drops.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: Deep house, melodic house, organic house and progressive house, plus downtempo and ambient, piano-led electronic pieces.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: Arrangement and finishing: turning a strong loop into a complete track with tension, release and space, and hearing what a label or a DJ will hear in the first 30 seconds.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: A clear arc. I listen like a DJ and like a label: where does the track build, where does attention drop, what is the one idea people will remember. Then I remove what's in the way and strengthen what matters, instead of just adding layers.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: 1. You send a private link, your DAW, 1-3 references and your deadline. 2. I listen first and tell you what I'd change, the scope and a fixed price before anything starts. 3. I work on the arrangement, groove, sound design and production. 4. You get a version to review, then a consolidated round of notes. 5. Delivery: final WAV, plus stems or alternate versions where agreed.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: Cubase as my main DAW, Moog Subsequent 37, Korg Minilogue XD, Roland TB-03, Soundtoys, and Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones.

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: Finishing electronic tracks that are stuck. Most clients come with a deep, melodic, organic or progressive house idea that works as a loop but not yet as a record: the arrangement loses energy, the drop doesn't land, sounds fight each other. I take the project, make the production and arrangement decisions, and send it back mix-ready. I also do production and co-production from an early idea, and release-ready consultations.
