Interview with HONEY STUDIOS
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on multiple singles and an album for a Grammy nominated singer & songwriter.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will always be satisfied with the tracks I create. My clients know I go above and beyond expectations, and I don't plan on changing that.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Music Producers are not Beat Makers. A beatmaker creates the instrumental track, the 'beat', while a music producer will oversee and work on the project as a whole, paying attention to the client, the brand, the style, trends, the sound design, arrangement, mixing & mastering and puts all the pieces together to create an outstanding finished product. In short, we do way more work.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never back down, never give up. It's all about consistency and passion.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Music production by far. Everything that goes into creating an instrumental.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Soul and style. My biggest aim is to bring my clients' ideas to life, and you can't do that without understanding the connection between them and music.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Everyone and anyone can inspire me, it's all about the music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: While I personally enjoy producing Hip Hop the most, my clients have mostly been located in South Korea, therefore the most common genre I produce happens to be K-pop with the combination of other genres.
