I write catchy pop songs with strong belting and sultry vocals and/or attitude filled rap-singing. I have a natural ear for melodic hooks and a passion for detailed, witty, and well-crafted lyrics. I am knowledgable about trends in modern music and can cater songs to be "social media" friendly. Starting price $250 and up depending on your needs!

I work very quickly and always ensure that you're happy with the final product.

Working Process:
Send me a details on where to take the song lyrically, then I'll record a draft and send it along with my lyrical ideas. We'll refine until you're satisfied, and then I'll track all vocals (including ad libs, harmonies, doubles, and triples) and send them to you.

I'm passionate about writing and will make sure the process is professional, fun, and personal to you. Let's make a hit! Feel free to contact me for more samples of my work.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Great communication, quick turnaround, with a strong grasp of both modern and throwback pop and hip-hop. Paytra is capable of working from an existing idea, or creating something completely new. Lead vocals, doubles, background vocals, and ad-libs: her instincts are good, not just for toplining, but also in filling out a vocal arrangement. Highly recommend.

I worked with Paytra on multiple occasions in my studio as a vocalist for various projects that came through for my clients. Her professionalism, thoroughness, and creativity added a lot to the song and we were able to get recording done quickly. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an experienced vocalist!

Interview with Paytra

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My last album "Tiny But Mighty." I feel like it was a true outpouring of my soul as a human... but also I feel like I cracked the code on connecting to an audience. Nothing feels better than hearing how my music has helped others.

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: I have a very sultry side to my voice (thanks to my infatuation with playing and singing Alicia Keys' albums on the piano as a child), and a very edgy, attitude-filled side to my voice. I would describe my style as if Doja Cat, Eminem, Rage against the Machine, and Lizzo all decided to do an album together (trippy right?)

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Anything with energy, grit, swagger, and power.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: I am a witty and FOCUSED lyricist. I will spend an hour refining one sentence so that the phonetics of a lyric line are perfect. I look at it as if its a puzzle and I'm always ready to solve it!

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I bring a very unique edge and swagger to a song. I truly believe that delivery is JUST as important as a good song.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I have my cute little home studio on the upper east side with my Sm7B microphone and record into Logic Pro X. My French Bulldog truffle is the executive producer on all my work (lol).

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: I am the go-to for attitude or edgy pop vocals. Need something with a little edge or snark to it? I'm your girl! I also write catchy top lines for modern pop/hip hop tracks.
