To write an authentic song for someone you need people skills and songwriting chops - I have both. I have been songwriting for over 30 years for myself and collaborations. I am new to the professional songwriting space (and my rates reflect that) but its my passion and I am confident you will enjoy working with me.

I spend time with people to truly hear their creative vision to then write an authentic song with good communication through the process.
The melodies I hear determine my chord choices, not the key. Though I know the music theory "box" well, I find freedom inside and outside of it. Lyrically I can grasp your creative vision and heart to bring authentic and fresh lyrics.
I find people relax in my presence and find it easy to be vulnerable, which is needed for creative artists.
Most of my writing has been in the indie pop and rock space. But I listen to an incredibly wide range of genres, and have had exposure to and immersion in a number of global cultures over the years which helps me grasp cultural nuances that artists wish to be brought out in their music. And these nuances are what make you a unique artist and so are a crucial influence that needs to be captured.
