I am an audio engineer, specialising in audio recording, mixing and mastering, as well as sound design for film and advertisement. I have worked on a variety of genres and instruments, including contemporary pieces implementing wind instruments.
My name is Sam and I am a sound engineer from Norfolk in the United Kingdom.
My specialties involve audio recording, mixing and mastering as well as adjacent skills such as sound design. I am incredibly enthusiastic about audio production as it offers so much opportunity for creative decision making and networking with talented individuals.
I have recently completed my Bachelors degree in Audio and Music Technology. During my time at university, I operated large, professional studio systems and was in charge of a variety of projects. My experience in recording, mixing and mastering extends to a variety of instruments and genres. I have led recording and sessions for senior lecturers’ and music students’ compositions.
My passion for audio production has extended beyond my education, as I have invested in professional equipment and software. I own a collection of microphones for a range of recording purposes, as well as two audio interfaces with a total of ten XLR inputs, beneficial for projects which require many microphones (e.g. drums). My digital audio workstation of choice is is Logic Pro X, as it is what I began using in 2019, and have become proficient in it’s capabilities.
