Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of environment is your music intended for? What part of you do you most desire to communicate through your art?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Come ready to have a through conversation about what inspires you before we begin the music making process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Headphones, a laptop, a power generator, a charger and a bluetooth speaker
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been making music for around 12 years now. I'm an artist primarily, I intend to keep releasing music and building my brand. Im hoping to help and inspire as many people as I can along the way.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A calm bounce
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Monte Booker. He inspired me a lot when I was learning how to better myself as a music producer.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Complicated isn't always better. The best music is usually compraised of very simple elements layered on top of on another.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Afro-house and dance music are the genres I am currently most adept at creating. I also have many years of experience making hip-hop, chill lofi productions and soundscapes.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: As far as producing is concerned, i'd say my ability to layer a multitude of percussive elements cohesively is my strongest skill.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I believe emotional resonance and depth are the most important aspects of making a song connect with people. I use my understanding of musical concepts to turn complicated ideas into simple yet impactful works of art.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start with a concept or emotion and then translate that into a melody. From there I add supporting chords and percussion to create structure. I use my artistic intuition to feel my way through the process and communicate with my clients for feedback.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work primarily from home on my lap top computer. Ableton is my main DAW.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Im inspired by musicians such as Black Coffee, Kaytranada, Tame Impala and The Gorillaz
