I'm a God-fearing, motivated Christian/Contemporary Christian/Gospel/Life Music songwriter who also can arrange songs as well. I started writing lyrics at the age of 8 and I have a few songs copyrighted. I've been in praise/worship teams, choirs, and a Temptations rendition group in high school. I've also auditioned for Sunday's Best in 2009.

Interview with Isaac Nichols
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently not working on any projects at the moment so I'm available.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of every song that I've written because God blessed me to compose those songs and they are a part of me.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because I'm used to digital now but I'm not opposed to analog at all.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to never take any project for granted and to give every project my absolute best effort. As far as pricing goes: Whatever a fair price is for someone who is just starting this journey writing music for others is what I'll accept. I'm not trying to get rich (because music is more than about the money for me), I'm not trying to be greedy, I'm definitely not trying to be deceitful or unethical, and I'm not trying to overcharge the client.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love songwriting because for me it's one of my connections to God, it's a type of therapy for me, it's a way that God uses me to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as help/encourage others, and it's a way for me to use the creativity that God has blessed me with.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about songwriting in my opinion is that "it's easy and anyone can do it" because that just isn't true.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I currently do not have a studio setup.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Truthfully, I've never done any songwriting for anyone else exclusively. I've written songs for myself and written a verse on a co-op project but never for anyone else. With that being said, I'm fully confident that I can write music for others and am willing to do so.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please be open, honest, truthful, and clear about the project that you desire me to assist you with.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Bible, a pen, paper, a multi-functional pan to cook with, and a solar generator for power.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing lyrics since I was 8 years old. I started out writing R&B music then I transitioned to gospel and christian-based music when I gave my life to Christ at the age of 16.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I call my style of music "Life Music" because it is life changing music given to me by God to bless/help whoever hears it.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always be honest with your music! The best music (in my opinion) comes from a place of honesty and purity.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Gospel, contemporary Christian, and Christian music is primarily what I operate in.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say my songwriting is equally as strong as my singing so they would both be my strongest skills.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring passion as well as a perfectionist mentally when it comes to writing music that represents the Kingdom of God because I never want to just do anything when it comes to serving God's purpose in my life through the gift of music. I want to give my absolute best!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I typically allow God to inspire me on what to write (sometimes that happens through getting a tune or word in my head, sometimes from a conversation, sometimes from something I see on TV or while I'm out, sometimes from something that I read in my Bible).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Fred Hammond and Boyz II Men were big musical influences for me growing up.
My only term of service that I request is that I have a "Final Say" clause in writing so that I have the creative final say over all of my contributions to any project that I'm working on.
