Musician turned producer, helping new acts get the most from their art
I'm an experienced musician (bass, guitar) who has been 'in-the-box' recording for over 20 years, producing, mixing, and mastering, as well as session playing.
My musical heart comes from a 90s alternative rock sensibility, but I have worked across many styles and genres including pop, RnB, country, Post-Rock, ambient, and soundtracks.
Primarily looking to work with new acts on production, basic recording, and mixing. It is ideal if you based on the Central Coast NSW, Australia, but happy to work remotely
I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Interview with Simon Slee
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be clear what your outcomes are, and be reasonable for what you expect to achieve
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Over 30 years
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The hook is critical (or many of them), but the last 3 - 5% of production really helps!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: As I'm often working with new and young artists it's a mixture of singer-songwriter, rock, alternative, and some electronic infused elements
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Cubase home setup with an array of guitars, synth sounds, samples, and some decent preamps, very much in-the-box recording
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I listen to a huge range of styles, and constantly learn from every record I hear, along with a host of professionals both online and in person.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually working with new or young acts who are building out demos or early EPs
