Barrie Rose on SoundBetter

Hello lovely human, For the past 10 years I have been singing, writing songs, recording with my own home recording setup and producing. My vocal specialty are intimate vocals in the vein of (pop/R&B) as well as ethereal layers and high harmonies. I have sung, written and co-produced a song with over 45k listens on Soundcloud.

My vocals are intimate, sultry and ethereal. I generally record a main vocal and double, adding and stacking harmonies throughout the song- so it has great vocal build. However, I am open to any vocal you have in mind! My voice has been compared to and likened to Grimes, Halsey, Billie Eilish, Lorde, Ellie Goulding, and Billie Holiday to name a few. I have also been told my voice and tone are "unique and soothing".

I like to get details about what you are going for with your song; the emotion you want me to bring to it, the story you want to tell, what artist/vibe you are going for (with references if possible) and anything else that will help paint a clear picture of it. Melody and lyric come easily to me, but I appreciate and welcome feedback and am open to ideas that will inevitably make the song the best it can be.

I record with my own at home setup, and offer clean, professional vocal stems that can be edited by me, if you'd like as well.

I've been writing and releasing music with my solo project (under the name Barrie Rose) but have also done multiple

Since I am just starting out on Soundbetter (though I've recorded tracks for people tons of times!) I'm offering very reasonable prices for the level of skill I have built. So looking forward to hearing about your projects!

I just had the great fortune to work with Barrie on our song. Right from the start communication was extremely professional, prompt and they really took on the brief and brought it to life with an amazing performance. Barrie went above and beyond, providing me rough mix's along the way and in the end delivering much more than was expected. I am truly thrilled and so happy with the final result and can't wait to work with Barrie again in the near future.
