Interview with G R E E N T E A
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: We're fairly new, but we're confident to recommend other professionals very soon!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We can promise quality beats, timely delivery, clear terms and support
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The opportunity to be creative, to collaborate, to impact and to provide for our families
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "Do You Offer Exclusive Rights?" "Can I make changes to the beat?" The answer is always yes!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: We'd say that it's only for Hip Hop and Electronic music when in fact we provide a wide range of music and styles!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: We'd talk about style or genre, song references, purpose of the beat, project timeline, budget, licensing, any preferences they may have.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: We'd recommend taking time to establish your vision, research vigorously, and prioritize communication
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Yamaha SU7 upright piano, Taylor Presentation Series acoustic guitar, Pearl Masterworks Series Drum Kit, Monette Prana Series trumpet, and a Antonio Stradivari Violin
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: We started making tracks for friends about a year and a half ago
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Our style embodies catchy melodies, upbeat rhythms, a more polished sound
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Charlie Puth is an amazing talent
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: if you don't love it, move on!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually we lean more towards popular genres such as top 40
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Our versatility maybe our strongest skil.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Our target is to always grasp the full picture of each project and client we receive, to then express the musical needs with sound design, melody, rhythm, and dynamics.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. We start by gathering inspiration from audio references or client prompts. 2. We begin laying down music sketches, arranging parts and mixing 3. Finally seek feedback and make adjustments
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We partner with Brands like Apple and Sweetwater such as the Macbook Pro, Logic Pro X, Native instruments, and more.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Stevie Wonder, Hans Zimmer
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We tend to work on mostly pop tracks for companies and artists. Brands may need tracks to promote new products or songwriters may need "song-starters" for music label pitches.
