Hello there! I’m George – A sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist from Bath, with a degree in Music and Music Technology from the University of Nottingham.
Whether producing, engineering or playing, I’ve always been totally obsessed with the musical creative process. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on studio and live projects for Sancho Panza, Innes Sibun, Littlemen, Fortitude, Sean Lakeman and Martha Tilston, to name a few. I love working with a complete range of styles, instruments and environments, whether it’s a guitar amp in the studio, an orchestra in the concert hall or behind a laptop making house music. When I’m not messing around with microphones and faders, you’ll catch me jamming with my band, watching Liverpool or walking with my dog!
Studying music technology at University of Nottingham, alongside working at Nam and Real World have allowed me to hone my skills in professional recording environments, and working on new projects is always a learning opportunity for me. Essentially, whatever brilliant, creative ideas you bring to the studio will always provide an exciting new challenge – I can’t wait to get cracking!

Interview with George Waters
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work at a local studio to my home in Wiltshire, called Nam Studios. The studio has an analogue MTA console, API and Neve Pres and a range of classic comps such as the WA76 and LA2A. The live room sounds awesome for drums!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Someone who brings something totally different to the table to me. I love seeing each session I work on as an opportunity to learn new techniques, styles or just new types of music!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Lately, my work has mostly revolved around session engineering, but I'm keen to move again further into production and editing work as well.
