What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
Playing guitar since I was 10, piano since 12. Producing music seriously for over 10 years. I worked at Sony Music for 5 years, then toured with my old band Big Red Rooster across the country. When the band split I started producing music for commercials, publishing, and teaching piano.
How would you describe your style?
I'm very technical. I am a classically trained pianist so can easily get to the heart of what my client wants by asking the right questions.
Which artist would you like to work with and why?
Calvin Harris, he's an amazing producer that has broken genres and musical boundaries.
Can you share one music production tip?
Flow is everything. Being tasteful is the hardest part of producing a hit.
What type of music do you usually work on?
All kinds, but specifically pop, edm, rock, soul, and funk.
What do you bring to a song?
Production and sound design skills that make my songs sound professional to compete with radio hits.
What's your typical work process?
First I usually ask clients for 3 reference tracks and want them to tell me what it is about those songs specifically that they like. EX: the drums sound huge, the vocal melody is catchy, the drop sounds dope, etc...
What's your strongest skill?
- Producing sonically pleasing songs and instrumentals.
- Writing catchy vocal melodies.

Hardware: API lunchbox containing API 512c pre-amps, shadow hills compressors, and great river pre amp, Yamaha HS8 studio monitors.
Software: Waves, Soundtoys, Softube, UA plugins (too many to list). Mac OSX running Logic Pro X.

I compose and produce instrumentals of all genres. My focus is on pop, rock, edm, funk, and soul.
