Mixing, Guitar, Bass, Vocals

Tor-Håkon Solem-Hansen on SoundBetter

I can mix, produce, play guitar/bass and sing.

Been mixing and producing my own songs for over 10 years and in that time I have learnt a lot.
I like having fun with a mix and trying my best to get the best sounds out that I possibly can. I'm not a very fast worker, but I like taking my time with each project as I have no time crunch really and this is my hobby for now.
I can play guitar and bass and have been doing that for 15 years.
I've got a rather unique voice after years of listening to punk music and musicals. My voice is not perfect by any means, but people seem to like it.
If you need any help with any of that I'd be glad to help.

Interview with Tor-Håkon Solem-Hansen

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: Sometimes your eyes do more than your ears and that is almost always never a good thing.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Pop-Punk, Punk Rock, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Pop Rock, Hair Metal, Pop, just basically anything with pop or rock.

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: A strong believer that the rules are there for a reason and you should follow them, unless the rule is stupid... then I'm gonna do my own thing.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: Listen to the song in full, find out what needs to be where in the mix, look for interesting things to spice the track up. Lots of self doubting, hating myself and then in the end I'm always soooo pleased with the results.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: One huge ass gaming pc that I slowly rebuilt into a music making power house. My two trusty ADAM speakers, my Orange TH30, and all of my beautiful guitars and microphone. ... Oh and also too many guitar pedals to count.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: Too many to count! If I had to pick one of each I think it would be Jack Black, just because he gives it all one hundred percent of the time. I get really inspired by Andy Wallace, could listen to that guy talk about nerdy shit for hours.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Complete mix of a song or recording guitars/vocals.
