One of my mentors, who is a music supervisor for films, heard one of her vocal performances on our song, and he said that it was such a convincing vocal that it sounded like she wrote the song; which he said was just about the highest praise that you could find. Chanele delivered a final vocal performance that exceeded expectations, and brought out the best in my song. Her vocal not only displayed technical skill, but also had warmth, authenticity, and emotional conviction; and she came up with new ideas for the vocal that I had not considered. Within a day or two of receiving her final vocal track, I pitched the song to a major label artist and received a note back saying that the song had made it past the first round of the pitch process.
