Keyboard player, sound designer, co-composer and co-arranger in Etienne Machine. Played at internationally renowned festivals like Montreux Jazz, Oerol or Rewire. I specialize in keyboard playing, synth programming/sound design and composition/production in electronic music, pop, rock and jazz. I graduated from jazz and electronic music diplomas.
I am a versatile musician with skills ranging from piano and keyboard playing, sound design, improvisation, composition, arranging and producing. I use a lot of programming tools in my sound design and to program drum beats that include some controlled randomness to achieve sounds and mood that are unique and personal. I also have great ear training and analytical skills allowing me to reproduce the sound of a given artist/album if not relying on instruments I don't have access to.
I have worked primarily as band member and leader in rock and jazz as composer, stage and session musician. I also do a lot of electronic music production and I love to discover and research new genres of music. What sets me apart is my use of the technology to guide my sound and writing. I usually include sounds that I made from scratch in my productions alongside hardware and software commercially available tools.
I have a bachelor in jazz piano with arranging and composition components, and a certificate from the institute of sonology in the Hague in audio programming, electronic music composition, experimental electronic music software, audio spatialization and more.
