A: Melancholic, mournful, straight-tone.

A: "What's your singing range?" Chest voice: C below middle C up to Bb above Middle C. Falsetto: up to the Eb above that.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I can write lyrics for you. (I can provide gibberish vocals to communicate the melody but I don't write lyrics).

A: In the music biz for 20+ years. Have a publishing deal (which does not affect adversely affect any work we do here together). New to SoundBetter.

A: The first take usually has a special vibe. I love it when the first take is the keeper.

A: Country, Americana, Folk and Old Time
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Send me something to listen to if you can. If you have lyrics send them as well. We can chat about what you're needing and then I'll get started on my end, recording and sending rough mixes back to you as we go to make sure we're on the same path together. At the end, I'll send you files however you need them.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Audio Technica 4050 large diaphragm condensor microphone. Ableton Live is my DAW. Yamaha HS80M studio monitors
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: 1) Record myself singing lead and/or backing vocals. 2) Write topline melodies. 3) Write chord progressions with melodies. (I don't write lyrics.) // Lyricists often contact me to co-write songs or producers who need the right voice for their finished track.

A: A beautifully constructed and well sung tune, like.... "Slow Burn" by Casey Musgraves. "If We Were Vampires" by Jason Isbell. "I Dream a Highway" by Gillian Welch. "Just Little Boy Blue" George Jones. "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X. "The Bones" by Maren Morris. "Beaumont " by Hayes Carll.
