Electro-Cinematic Producer

Daniel Fernandes on SoundBetter

I make dreamy electro-cinematic music with memorable melodies and otherworldly soundscapes.

Hey there! I'm Daniel.
I've been producing music for about half a decade now. My strongest skills are in mixing and digital mastering, and I've worked on chill, electronic, cinematic and experimental music. Most of my music is very dreamy, calm, or positively energetic.

My time zone is IST (GMT + 5:30). If you'd like to work with me, feel welcomed to get in touch! :)

Interview with Daniel Fernandes

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: This is also advice to myself: I think it can be helpful to step back every now and then and spend a little time reflecting on how you're doing, where the bottlenecks are, and what are the things worth getting better at.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Dreamy music that is calm or energetic. As for styles, it's a combination of electronic and cinematic elements.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: I often start with a "seed" idea. It could be a melody, a drum pattern, chord loop, small vocal recording... or anything else. Then I build some core musical ideas around it that can be used throughout the song. Next, I begin the arrangement and sound design, coming up with the rest of the ideas, and gradually transitioning to the mixing phase. After several iterations (with feedback from you), the arrangement and mixing will be complete and the song is ready for mastering.

  7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  8. A: I take inspiration from a lot of artists, and specially those who can break "rules". You know, people like Porter Robinson, Owl City, and TheFatRat.
