Raine on SoundBetter

10,000,000+ streams across all platforms and projects. Over 10+ years in various roles involved in Music Production and Audio Engineering. I'd love to work with you on any project you have to make it streaming, radio, or physical distribution ready!

Name a role in a music studio, and I've likely done it as work. From behind the console, to in front of the mic, from the stage, to the booth, I've been there, and I know how to make all our lives easier, as an audio professional on all sides.

Music Production, Composition, Mixing & Mastering, Recording, Engineering, Editing, Session Instruments/Vocals, Sound Design, Foley, Voice-Over/Voice Acting, Vocal Editing, and DJing are at the core of what I offer to you. My expertise is yours to use to start and/or finish any audio and music-related project you may have.

Prices may vary depending on factors such as: complexity of tasks needed to be done, other artists/staff involved, travel needed, rights to produced work.

    Solid engineer and producer!

Interview with Raine

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Always use the right tool for the job. Analog for 'character' and distortion, digital for unerring precision and fidelity.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: My laptop, my headphones, a microphone, and two speakers.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I've been a musician for 20+ years and a Music Producer/Audio Engineer for 10+. I started as simply a classical pianist before becoming a ghost producer/recording technician and only expanded and deepened my knowledge of everything audio since then.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: Analog Synths with Modern Production Value in any and every genre.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Apples have an enzyme that keep your throat fresher for longer. Take frequent breaks, especially if you're doing vocals, stay hydrated, and keep a small stash of apples nearby to keep your vocals sounding crisp and consistent.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: All types of Electronic Music, Hip Hop, Rap, Pop, Rock, Metal, and Folk.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Music Production, Mixing, and Mastering.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: A strong base in Electronic Music production, deep roots in classical and jazz piano, jazz/metal drums experience, funk bass, and vocals in any gender/delivery.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: - We (the client and I) discuss the project - The work and price are agreed upon - I ask for a security deposit of half the money agreed upon down while we're signing contracts before work starts. - Work begins, and we stay in contact while work is being completed to make sure your vision and my output are as close as they can be. - Clients typically ask for 3 or less major revisions. - The rest of the amount due is owed upon completion of the work as agreed upon by both me and the client

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: My studio monitors are a set of Genelec 8030c speakers and a paired 7040a subwoofer. The DAWs I typically use are Ableton, Reason, REAPER, Pro Tools, and Logic. I have a Solid State Logic Console that I use for Mixing and Mastering work as well as some partial live FX usage. My project studio proudly uses an sE Electronics sE 4400a Multipattern condenser mic as well as an Aston Stealth dynamic microphone for mono recordings. Samson C02 SDC pair or a handheld Tascam stereo recorder for stereo recordings.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Porter Robinson, Crywolf, James Blake, K?D, EDEN, Noisia, Jon Bellion, Puppet, Sleep Token, and Golden Features are some of my biggest influences/inspirations right now.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: Music Production, Composition, Mixing & Mastering, Recording, Engineering, Editing, and Voice Acting/Voice-Over are my most requested types of work.
