Experienced R&B/Soul/NeoSoul Vocalist/songwriter. Credited work with Kanye West, MC Lyte, Roy Ayers, and more
Hey! I’m Nialand, a Chicago-based R&B / Neo-Soul vocalist and songwriter with a warm, expressive sound rooted in soul, jazz, and contemporary R&B. I specialize in lead vocals, harmony stacks, color ad-libs, and topline songwriting that add depth and emotion while supporting the artist’s vision.
With nearly two decades of experience as both a collaborative creative and lead solo artist who performs vocals and writes songs for myself, I understand the full lifecycle of a song — from concept to final delivery. I write my own music, record my own vocals, and provide clean, raw, dry vocal files ready for your engineer to mix.
Selected Experience:
My work includes songwriting with Chico DeBarge and vocal collaborations with J. Ivy, Tarrey Torae, Rhymefest, and MC Lyte. I’ve also written jingles and recorded vocals for corporate brands, where clarity, tone, and message matter.
