Pittsburgh based multi-instrumentalist; raised in Southern California by an ethnomusicologist, I was granted great insight in various forms of Americana and World Music through family friends, Ry Cooder and David Lindley. Not much in the department of success, though I have tons of stage/studio experience.
Specializing in traditional bottleneck blues and gospel, various styles of traditional Mexican folk such as Norteno, Hawaiian slack-key, the lost art of blues mandolin and Greek rebetika, or “Bouzouki Music”. I pride myself in my wide exposure to various musical forms, my ability to pinpoint the tonal center and apply authentic, niche sounds to enhance any piece of music.
