composer/programmer

I'm best known for my film score work, most notably for the film Three Headed Beast, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in June of 2022. I've also scored several local films in Grand Rapids. I'm most proud of my work under the industrial/post-punk project Strange Skin, which I started in 2019.

I can produce a fully written song, mix a song that has already been written, offer some recorded performance if you need a bassist or synth programmer to give your song new life, or start from scratch and write something new for you altogether. Let me embellish your track with some depth and atmosphere, or simply be a good sounding board for your ideas. I like to think I have solid ears and good taste. I'm not an over-producer or a fastidious mixer. I like things to sound a little gritty, with the right amount of clarity to let the emotion shine.

I've been working in independent film for 6 years, starting with short films and graduating to feature films, one of which has had its premiere at one of the biggest film festivals in the world.

I started my project Strange Skin in 2019, beginning with an EP of three tracks that I wrote and recorded myself. In 2020 I wrote, recorded, and mixed a full-length LP with my roommate at home, and released it independently in early 2021. We've also performed as a live band since 2022, adding a bassist and keyboardist to the fold. We've played a handful of successful local shows in the Grand Rapids area and our fanbase is slowly but surely growing. We're headlining our first show in Chicago in late March 2024, and we'll be releasing a new single around the same time.
