Matt Gill
Matt Gill is a producer, engineer, musician and Grammy-nominated mixer whose work spans the worlds of music, sound for picture and mobile apps. His overarching goal in audio, one that he has been fortunate to accomplish many times over, is to make good music with good people. Also: there is no right and wrong, only phase.
Working out of his Manhattan studio, The Key Room, Matt has recorded or mixed for Metric, Amiee Mann, The Indecent, Richard Barone, Rosanne Cash, Fischerspooner, The Ravonettes, Marcellus Hall, Shonali Bhowmik, Tigers and Monkeys and the Antibalas horns.
Matt also has extensive experience in sound for film and video, working on TV shows “Iron Chef America”, “30 Minute Meals” for Food Network, “The Shop” for MTV, “American Masters” on PBS and HBO Sports, as well as mixing music for Major League Baseball, The Price is Right and Showtime’s Vancouver 2010 Olympics special. He also mixed TV On The Radio’s “Nine Types of Light” movie, which was nominated for the Best Long-Form Music Video Grammy in 2011.
